Using improvisation, dramatic play, story enactment, theatre games and imaginative journeys, students will develop confidence as they discover the joy of theatre. Supersonic Superheroes at Reed K-1 Move over, Batman! Students will be inspired to create their own superhero identities. We will create capes and move like superheroes that fly through the air, stick to the ceiling and walk through walls; and imagine stories about our heroes’ adventures. Supersonic Superheroes at Spoede K-1 Move over, Batman! Students will be inspired to create their own superhero identities. Under The Sea at Conway K-1 Students explore the marvels of the ocean - both real and imaginary. Through drama and movement, they will create a world of starfish, imaginative sea creatures and other watery wonders. Perhaps they’ll even meet a favorite mermaid there. Dive in! Best of Broadway at FGC Young performers will learn about the stories, characters and songs of a new selection of Broadway shows. They will develop basic skills in acting, singing and stage movement as they explore the world of musical theatre. PopularDevil Head Ski TripYouth EnrichmentWisconsin Ski Trip- February 14th - 16th Through the district's Community Education Department, we are excited to announce our annual out-of-town ski trip to Devil’s Head Resort in Baraboo, Wisconsin! This will be such a wonderful experience and anyone in the district may participate. Please register early because space is limited for this trip. Families may take the bus or drive themselves. The following link regarding the trips Itinerary can be referenced, which has more specific details. This is a family trip, and parents must accompany their children when they ride the bus. Payment plans are available upon checkout in the system. To reserve a spot, all registration fees will be due upon completion. If this option is chosen, your account will automatically be set up to make designated payments on December 1, 2024, and January 15, 2025. Little Medical SchoolYouth EnrichmentLittle Medical School is the pioneer and leading developer of hands-on interactive programs for children with a focus on healthcare. Our STEM based curriculum caters to children of all ages. Little Medical School works with educators, healthcare leaders, and community organizations to INSPIRE healthy lifestyles in children as they learn about medical careers. All programs are written by a board-certified educator and reviewed by board-certified and trained healthcare professionals. Little Veterinarian Cat School-Reed Students will role-play the key responsibilities of a veterinarian and perform a whiskers-to-tail exam on their newly “adopted” plush cat. These future veterinarians will learn about animal body language, maintaining a healthy environment such as proper litterbox placement, create a cat toy, and design a vet clinic. (Ages 6-10) Little Dog/Veterinarian-Conway & Spoede After “adopting” their very own plush puppy, students will role-play the key responsibilities of a veterinarian, including how to properly perform a nose-to-tail exam. These future veterinarians will learn how to sew stitches, remove ticks, make healthy treats, and vaccinate their dog. (Ages 6-10) Basic anatomy, medical instruments and prepping for surgery.-FGC Through role-play and activities, students will learn the key responsibilities of a doctor and explore the heart, lungs, and digestion. Students will use real medical instruments (stethoscope, reflex hammer, and blood pressure cuff) and practice scrubbing, suturing, and tying knots like a real surgeon.Youth Enrichment 24-25
