Young performers will learn to use the body and voice to create characters under the guidance of a COCA theatre instructor. Using improvisation, dramatic play, story enactment, theatre games and imaginative journeys, students will develop confidence as they discover
the joy of theatre.

Best of Broadway at FGC           

Young performers will learn about the stories, characters and songs of a new selection of Broadway shows. They will develop basic skills in acting, singing and stage movement as they explore the world of musical theatre. Family & friends may be invited on the final day for class observation.

Class Description: Create A Play

Students will explore acting and playwriting techniques as they work with a COCA theatre artist to brainstorm, improvise, script, and perform a new short play or series of scenes. All ideas are welcome from fractured fairy tales to fantasy, comedy and mystery. Students will then share their creation on the final day of class.
